Andy Roddick funnily reveals Naomi Osaka "cost" him some solid money during the US Open after his seven-year-old daughter Stevie fell in love with the Japanese's custom Labubus and wanted some for herself.
In case you missed it, the former WTA world No. 1 not only drew attention to herself with her game at Flushing Meadows, but also with her custom outfits and bedazzled Labubu accessories.
For each match, Osaka had something different, and it even included naming her Labubus after some of the legends of the game.
Roddick, who spent two weeks in New York with his family during the US Open, jokes the Japanese four-time Grand Slam champion had "a large impact" on his family.

"Shes cost me. Ive gotta be honest with that backpack at the US Open. Shes cost me about $1,000 in Labubus with my daughter. I mean, Naomi Osaka had a larger impact on our family this year than she will ever realize. Yeah, just nuts," the American tennis legend shared on the Served with Andy Roddick podcast.
After sharing a funny US Open story involving Osaka, Roddick also shared his thoughts on the Japanese's 2026 season. The American former world No. 1 acknowledged that the Japanese "did really well" in reaching the Montreal final and the US Open semifinal in the second part of 2025.
At the Australian Open, Osaka - currently ranked at No. 16 in the world - is a two-time champion. And Roddick thinks making a strong start to the 2026 season is the key for the 28-year-old.

It will be interesting to see how she starts next year, I do think she needs a great start, to enter into that conversation of, am I top five, or top eight again?'" the 2003 US Open champion said.
Osaka will prepare for the Australian Open by representing Japan at the United Cup.
