Mick Foley may be on his way out of WWE, but dont believe everything you read about why. While his decision not to renew his WWE Legends contract in June 2026 made headlines earlier this month, a recent story had fans thinking he was furious with the company. Turns out, that couldnt be further from the truth.
The WWE Hall of Famer took to Instagram with a direct message aimed at clearing the air after a wrestling page called Its Wrestling Lover published a false story claiming he was furious at WWE for using his old wrestling footage. Foley wasnt having it.
Soon after, Foley shared a follow-up confirming the site did just thatapologizing and removing the post. But Foley wasnt done. He revealed that another page, Wrestling Corner, had apparently been spreading fake news about him for a while.
Despite his upcoming WWE departure and personal stance on the companys ties to Donald Trump, Foley remains respectful about his legacy and relationship with WWEs history.
With AEW interest still in the air and his Legends deal winding down, the road ahead for Foley is uncertainbut one things for sure: hes calling out fake news every step of the way.
