Bryson DeChambeau has broken his silence regarding ongoing negotiations for a contract renewal with LIV Golf.
Just days after the announcement of his arch-rival Brooks Koepka's departure, will Bryson DeChambeau also end his time with the tour now headed by Scott O'Neil?
Brooks' departure inevitably adds new elements to the equation. As I've always said, I really want to develop team golf globally. But it has to be perfect.
In an interview on the X account "FlushingIt," BDC confirmed that discussions were continuing without specifying whether they were progressing positively.

Its clear that in DeChambeaus mind, Koepkas departure has changed everything. He and Jon Rahm are now the only two players with such a strong media presence.
While we can imagine that money is at the heart of the discussions, its difficult to say exactly what the talks between the Crushers captain and the LIV boss are about.
I dont know if well be able to sign the contract before Riyadh (the first four-round LIV tournament scheduled for February 4-7), there are still a lot of things to sort out, he adds.
Its a very unique situation. Brooks departure inevitably adds new elements. As Ive always said, I really want to develop team golf on a global scale. But it has to be perfect. And theres a lot to do to make it perfect. Things still need to improve, and I think Scott [ONeil] is doing a great job.

While his contract expires in 2026, the two-time U.S. Open champion (2020 and 2024) isnt worried about his future. If he doesnt reach an agreement with the LIV, he can focus on his YouTube channel, which boasts 2.6 million subscribers!
Ultimately, it has to be a decision that works for everyone because I can very well play golf on YouTube too.
While waiting for his prospects to become clearer, DeChambeau is making a name for himself in the majors. He has notably expressed his desire to add a green jacket to his list of achievements. Sixth last April after carding a 75 in the final round, he will certainly be able to count on further equipment upgrades this year to reach that goal.
