Chris Jericho may be WWE-bound in just a few days, but not everyone thinks he should return to the ringand former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman has a bold alternative in mind.

Responding to reports from Sports Illustrateds Jon Alba that Jericho could show up on WWE TV as early as January 5, Coachman took to Twitter and suggested a completely different path for the former AEW starone that could reshape WWEs on-screen leadership.

Coachman then floated a creative shake-up that would remove current on-screen authority figure Adam Pearce and install Jericho in that power spot instead.

Coachman also raised a valid concern about Jerichos in-ring schedule, especially given his long absence from AEW television since April 2025.

The discussion erupted when reports surfaced that multiple sources believe Jericho will return to WWE shortly after his AEW contract expires on December 31. Jericho himself has remained coy, saying only You never know when asked during his Christmas livestream if hed return to WWE.

Still, his choice to stream live on YouTube during AEWs Worlds End pay-per-viewand his total absence from AEW creativehave only added fuel to the fire.

Whether Jericho laces up his boots again or steps into a suit and tie for a new authority role, his potential WWE return is already generating buzzand Coachmans idea just might be the smartest play.
