Francisco Cerundolo reveals he would choose Novak Djokovic over Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer as his coach because he thinks the Serb is doing something extraordinary by being so competitive at 38.

Djokovic, who beat out Nadal and Federer in the all-time Grand Slam race, is the only Big Three member who is still active.

After battling serious injuries in the last few years of his career, Nadal retired from pro tennis last year at the age of 38. Federer barely played in his last three active seasons on the Tour, and he was 41 when his career officially ended at the 2022 Laver Cup.

Cerundolo, 27, conducted an interview with an Argentinian publication. During one segment, the three-time ATP champion was asked to pick the Big Three he would ask to be his coach. And the Argentine didn't hesitate, quickly naming Djokovic. The 27-year-old noted that he is extremely impressed by the Serb's physicality and professionalism, and for that reason, he thinks that he could learn some lessons from the world No. 4.

Cerundolo: Physically, Djokovic is the strongest of them all

"I'm going to choose Djokovic. I think he's the physically strongest of them all, the one who's had the fewest injuries, and he's extending his tennis career almost like Federer. At 38, almost 39, he's playing against the best in the world like it's nothing and battling at full speed," the world No. 21 told Argentinian publication Infobae.

"So, he must have done something, both physically and in terms of his tennis. And from what I hear, he's always been the most professional about all of that and the most obsessed with food, training, and rest, more than the others. It's like that's taken him to another level.

At 38, Djokovic made four Grand Slam semifinals this year, won two ATP 250 titles, and finished the year ranked inside the top-5.

Meanwhile, Cerundolo didn't win any titles this year, but he finished as runner-up in Buenos Aires and made four more ATP semifinals.
