Maxwell Jacob Friedman may be known for running his mouth in AEW, but now hes making noise in Hollywoodthanks to none other than Adam Sandler. MJF landed his biggest movie role yet, starring in Happy Gilmore 2 as one of Sandlers four sons, and according to him, the bond they formed went far beyond the script.
In an interview with Fightful, MJF opened up about how close hes become with Sandler during and after filming the comedy sequel.
When asked how the gig even came together, Friedman said it wasnt through any wrestling connectionsit was all hustle.
And thats when things took an unexpected turn. Sandler wasnt just impressedhe was blown away.
Friedman said he then went through a second round of auditions, this time for the role of Sandlers sonand landed it.
Between his rising wrestling superstardom and now an acting career with a direct line to Sandler himself, MJFs ego may have just gotten another gold-plated reason to stay sky-high.
