The rumors about Jack Draper missing the Australian Open have been ended by the player himself as the Briton is set to return to action at the United Cup.

The reigning Indian Wells Masters champion, who dealt with a recurring bone bruising in the second part of 2025, shut down his 2025 season after the US Open.

In early December, Draper was scheduled to compete at the UTS London. But that didn't happen after the world No. 10 pulled out of the event because he wasn't ready to play. Last week, the rumors started to swirl around about the 24-year-old possibly being forced to prolong his absence.

While preparing for the new season in London, Draper caught up with fans. He was directly asked if he would play in Australia.

Draper: I will play in Australia

Ill be playing in Australia, yeah... Its not been the easiest time for me because I was coming up, I was feeling like I was in a really good place right at the top, and then something like this happens and I guess you either stand still and let it get the best of you or you keep on going. And I think, yeah, thats just a constant wheel, thats just a constant wave. You know, youre successful then youre going to struggle and then you get successful again. But you have to keep at it mentally, so I feel like Ive done that pretty well," the world No. 10 said.
