The One Point Slam has added more top players to its lineup after Zheng Qinwen, Naomi Osaka and Jasmine Paolini also signed up to play.

On January 14th, the Australian Open is hosting a pro-amateur event on Rod Laver Arena. The One Point Slam will feature 48 participants, with a single point deciding the winner.

Whoever wins the event will also pick up a very nice cheque just before the Australian Open as the winner will be rewarded with $1 million.

Before Zheng, Osaka and Paolini, several other star names confirmed their One Slam Point participation - Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Nick Kyrgios, Lorenzo Musetti, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alex de Minaur.

Zheng set to play twoexhibitions at Melbourne Park

After undergoing surgery on her right elbow in July and unsuccessfully returning to action in late September, Zheng decided to end her 2025 season. The Chinese opted not to play any WTA tournaments in the first two weeks since she wanted to give herself more time to recover.

However, Zheng won't enter the first Grand Slam of the yearwithout any action since she is slated to play against Elena Rybakina in an exhibition match on January 13th at Rod Laver Arena. The following day, the 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist will get some more action in the One Point Slam.

Zheng reached her first Grand Slam final at the Australian Open in 2024 before losing to Aryna Sabalenka. The Chinese dealt with an injury at the start of 2025 and lost in the second round at Melbourne Park.
