Emma Raducanu suggests she plans to play "less" in 2026 than she did this past year and also wants to focus on improving her fitness so she can be at her best when she plays.
In 2025, the world No. 29 took part in 22 tournaments - played a total of 50 matches - and posted a 28-22 record.
For the most part, Raducanu stayed healthy in 2025. But late in the season, the 23-year-old was troubled by foot and back injuries, and also dealt with illness. That played a big part in the Briton not doing well during the Asian swing and was the reason why she ended her season in mid-October.

Since then, Raducanu has recovered and she is ready to start the 2026 season with Rafael Nadal's former coach Francisco Roig. And according to the 2021 US Open champion, her mental health and well-being have improved over the past couple of weeks and she is a lot happier with her current tennis perspective.
Raducanu on her plans for 2026
I would say next year I hope to play less than I did this year, but I think also just incorporating into my warm-ups fitness, so its not just my fitness sessions which are set for it," the world No. 29 told the BBC.
You just have to try and drip feed as much as you can in for the overall health of your body, little and often, is the biggest thing that has helped. Most of all, I just think I have found a lot more peace with myself, and I am a lot happier with how I am approaching my tennis and how Im approaching the team I have and what we are building and the environment we have.
