Daria Kasatkina says women's Grand Slam matches have become more "interesting" to follow than men's.
On the ATP Tour, the Grand Slam stage has been dominated by Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner for the past two years, with each winning four Majors since 2024.
In the women's game, five different players have won a Grand Slam title since 2024 - Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Madison Keys and Barbora Krejcikova.
Some argue that Alcaraz and Sinner's dominance have made men's Majors "boring" and that there is a lot more excitement in following women's Slams due to the greater variety of champions.
However, Kasatkina didn't use that claim when making her point. Instead, the 2022 French Open semifinalist thinks that when looking at a whole tournament, more women's than men's matches feature a high-level tennis and drama.

Kasatkina: Women's matches were more interesting than men's in the last few Grand Slams
The level is so high, honestly. I will get a lot of criticism for this probably, but I dont care. I think in the last few Grand Slams, the womens matches were more interesting than the mens," Kasatkina said on The Sit-Down.
But, because men play best of five in the finals only because of the last match [people] remember it. For example, Sinner versus Alcaraz in the final of Roland Garros was unbelievable. It was a great match. But the tournament, the two weeks before, were not as entertaining as the final match.
And with the girls unfortunately the whole two week they dont remember the matches because the final was not as entertaining... So in my opinion we cannot judge the womens Tour based on just the final of the Grand Slams they play.

This year, Kasatkina's Grand Slam year included round-of-16 showings at the Australian Open and the French Open, and back-to-back third-round exits at Wimbledon and the US Open.
