WWE has a long history with Donald Trump, and the Hall of Famer has also brought an interesting focus into the company that caused an unexpected exit.
Mick Foley recently said he is cutting ties with WWE because of the companys relationship with Trump and his administration. Foleys decision followed a post from Trump on social media referencing the deaths of filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner and his wife Michele.
Mick Foleys comments led to a response from fellow WWE Hall of Famer and Knox County, Tennessee mayor Glenn Jacobs. The Big Red Mayor appeared on Newsmax and said he has always known where Foley stands politically. Kane may disagree with this decision, but he still respects Foley.
Triple H currently serves on Trumps Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. It would be interesting to see how many more ties WWE and Trump have before everything is said and done.
Donald Trump suggested that Rob Reiners death was connected to his criticism of the Trump administration. After that, Foley said he would no longer appear for WWE and would not sign a new Legends deal. This controversial decision was, obviously, something that got fans talking.
