AEW is closing out this year with another big pay-per-view. They have already beat last years ticket sales. That card is already full of worthwhile matches, but Tony Khan loves loading up an event with as much as he can.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that FTR will defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against the Bang Bang Gang in a Chicago Street Fight at Worlds End.
AEW Worlds End 2025 is set for Saturday, December 27, 2025. The event will take place at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, part of the Chicago area. Of course, Ringside News will have full coverage of the event.
Worlds End already has a ton of matches booked for the show. The pay-per-view will feature the semifinals and finals of the 2025 Continental Classic tournament, along with multiple championship matches.
The first semifinal will see Konosuke Takeshita face the Gold League qualifier. The second semifinal will pit the Gold League qualifier against the Blue League qualifier. The winners of those matches will meet later in the night in the Continental Classic Final, with the AEW Continental Championship on the line.
The AEW Womens World Championship will also be defended. Kris Statlander will put the title on the line against Jamie Hayter in a singles match.
The AEW World Championship will be defended in a four way match. Samoa Joe will defend the title against Swerve Strickland, Hangman Adam Page, and MJF. This match is MJFs guaranteed title opportunity from the Casino Gauntlet. The AEW Womens World Tag Team Championship will also be on the line. The Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, will defend the titles against Athena and Mercedes Mon.
With tournament matches and multiple championships scheduled, Worlds End is shaping up to be a major night for AEW to close out the year. We will have to see how AEW decides to wrap up 2025.
