Seth Rollins might be off WWE TV, but dont think for a second hes lost sight of the gold. The former World Heavyweight Champion hasnt wrestled since suffering a legitimate shoulder injury at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth, but in his mind, that championship still belongs to him.
In a recent interview with ClutchPoints, Rollins made it crystal clear that when he returns to action, his priority isnt personalits about reclaiming what was taken from him.
Rollins said he doesnt have a specific opponent in mind for his comeback. Instead, hes laser-focused on one thing: the World Heavyweight Title.
Rollins made it clear he was forced to vacate the belt due to injury, not defeat. And now, anyone holding the titleCM Punk includedis on borrowed time.
Rollins last competed in October, where he defeated Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. But just days later, he was brutally attacked on RAW by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, leaving him sidelined with a shoulder injury. WWE later confirmed the injury was legitimate, and the recovery timetable has been speculated to be as long as six months.
As of now, CM Punk holds the World Heavyweight Title, and Rollins return could set up a major collision down the lineespecially given their long and complicated history.
