Jim Cornette says he flat-out refused to work with WWE on a Kane biography project and his reason? The companys ongoing relationship with Donald Trump.
On a new episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the outspoken wrestling legend revealed that WWE contacted him a few years ago to participate in a project about Kane. But Cornette said he wanted nothing to do with it not because of Kane personally, but because of who he was standing next to.
According to Cornette, the WWE representative didnt argue and even seemed to get where he was coming from.
Cornette made it clear that not everyone in WWE is on board with the Trump relationship but most are too scared to speak out.
This comes just after Cornette praised Mick Foley for cutting ties with WWE over the same issue, calling the Hall of Famer my favorite person in the world for having backbone and morals.
Turning down the Kane project wasnt just a passive decision for Cornette it was a line in the sand. In an industry where many choose silence, he made it clear that his personal convictions matter more than anything else.
