Former University of Alabama golfer Justin Thomas has made a donation to the Crimson Reserve, the state-of-the-art golf complex serving the Crimson Tide men's and women's golf teams.

Justin Thomas, who shone with the Crimson Tide (the University of Alabama golf team) from 2011 to 2013, has donated $1 million to his alma mater.

The golfer, who has won numerous accolades with the Alabama Athletics, including the Phil Mickelson Award for Most Promising Player of the Year and the Jack Nicklaus Award for Most Promising Player of the Year, wants to be involved in the development of the Crimson Reserve complex, already considered one of the most modern training facilities in the United States.

Justin Thomas, statements

It is difficult to express in words the love and feelings I have for the University of Alabama.

The University of Alabama Athletics Department is extremely grateful to Justin for his commitment and support of the Crimson Reserve and our golf programs, said Greg Byrne, Director of Athletics at the University of Alabama. We are proud to have one of our best student-athletes contributing to his sport, both financially and through his involvement in the design of our world-class facility.

After turning pro, JT proudly represented his alma mater, winning two major tournaments (the 2017 and 2022 PGA Championships), the FedEx Cup, the PLAYERS Championship, and 16 PGA Tour victories.

He was named PGA Tour Player of the Year in 2017 and reached the number one ranking in the world the following season.

Its hard to put into words the love and feelings I have for the University of Alabama, said Thomas. I was incredibly fortunate to spend two amazing years playing under Coach Seawell. He and his wife, Stephanie, were, and still are, like family to me. This dream of making the Crimson AHL roster wouldnt have been possible without Coaches Seawell and Potter and their outstanding work on the program. Its an honor to have played a small part in making it happen.
