Iga Swiatek admits she absolutely wants to complete a Career Grand Slam, but highlights that she doesn't want to obsess over it or think about it every day during the Australian Open.
In 2025, Swiatek won her first Wimbledon title. Now, the Polish tennis star is only an Australian Open title away from pulling off a Career Grand Slam.
So far in her career, Swiatek has played at the Australian Open seven times and made the semifinals in 2022 and 2025. In her first semifinal at Melbourne Park, the Pole easily lost to Danielle Collins. This year, she came inches away from securing a final spot, but ultimately fell just short after blowing a match point in a three-set loss to Madison Keys.

Swiatek: I'm not going to go to Melbourne and think about a Career Grand Slam every day
I dont set goals like that. Obviously its something that I dream of and something that I want to happen one day but Im not going to come to Melbourne and think about it every day. I know that theres seven matches to win and the Grand Slams are two weeks, a lot can happen. So Im really going to just take it step by step. Just focusing on the pre-season well is the key, and then Ill see. But for sure, it would be a dream come true," the 24-year-old told CLAY.
It is not a secret that Wimbledon was regarded as the toughest Major to win for Swiatek. But during the summer, the Pole ended once those conversations once and for all after dropping just one set in seven matches played, and thrashing Amanda Anisimova 6-0 6-0 in the final.
