John Cena wrestled his final match last weekend at Saturday Nights Main Event in Washington, DC. He submitted to GUNTHER, bringing his in-ring career to an end. That wont be the last time we see him.
Before retiring, John Cena said he would continue working with WWE in a non-wrestling role. He later signed a five-year deal to serve as an ambassador for the company.
Following the match, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes hinted that an announcement involving Cena was coming. That announcement was made today.
Cody Rhodes confirmed that John Cena will be the next guest on the What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast. The episode is scheduled to release tomorrow and will mark Cenas first appearance on a WWE platform since his retirement.
Joh Cena has previously stated that any future WWE appearances will see him wearing a suit instead of his usual in-ring attire. He made it very clear that there will be no going back on his retirement. Only time will tell how long it is until he appears at a WWE event for any reason again.
We will keep a close eye on John Cenas road after WWE. He is destined to do big things, and its anyones guess what he is capable of doing at this point.
