Blake Monroe isnt letting her accidental title loss slide and her latest reaction makes that crystal clear.
A day after losing the NXT Womens North American Title to Thea Hail in an unplanned finish, Monroe took to social media again on December 17 with a much sharper message aimed directly at WWE NXT.
The tweet was in response to NXTs official header image, which showed Monroe sitting on the mat as Hail clutched the championship after the referees three-count a moment that has since been confirmed as completely unintended.
The frustration behind Monroes post is rooted in what happened the night before. As previously reported, the original plan for the December 16 match was for Monroe to retain the title. However, during the closing sequence, she had the wind knocked out of her after Hail came off the ropes. Monroe tried to lift her shoulder during the pin attempt but couldnt do so in time.
Because WWE referees are instructed to treat pinfalls as legitimate, the official had no choice but to count the three resulting in an accidental title change.
Backstage sources have indicated that Hail, still early in her career, likely didnt realize she needed to give Monroe a moment to recover before going for the cover. The confusion was so obvious that WWE initially played Monroes entrance music after the match, only to abruptly stop it and switch to Hails theme once the mistake was realized.
WWE later leaned into the chaos by acknowledging Monroes late shoulder raise as part of the storyline, but the damage was already done. The title change reportedly caused a scramble backstage, forcing officials to rewrite upcoming segments and creative plans that were already filmed with Monroe positioned as champion.
Monroe had already hinted at her displeasure earlier with a cryptic post about being screwed, but her latest tweet leaves no doubt that shes still angry especially about WWE continuing to spotlight a moment that wasnt supposed to exist in the first place.
With NXT preparing to tape multiple upcoming episodes at the Performance Center, questions remain about whether WWE will reverse the title change quickly or attempt to turn the mess into a longer storyline. For now, Thea Hail remains the official champion but Monroes reaction suggests this situation is far from over.
What do you think should WWE remove the image and fix the mistake on TV, or lean fully into the chaos? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
