Nicolas Jarry is making a change after a disappointing 2025 season as the three-time ATP champion has announced that he has stopped working with coach Cesar Fabregas after three years of being together.
In May 2024, Jarry made his first Masters final in Rome before losing to Alexander Zverev in a tight three-set final. Following his big run at Foro Italico, the Chilean tennis player also achieved a career-high ranking of No. 16 in the world.
But after one of the best weeks of his career, Jarry entered a slump that has been ongoing for a year and a half now. After Rome, the Chilean lost his next six matches and clinched just three wins in the rest of the 2024 season. The 30-year-old didn't manage to get back on the right track in 2025 either, posting a disappointing 9-18 record on the main level and also being forced to play some Challenger tournaments.

During the summer, Jarry reached the Wimbledon round-of-16 as a qualifier. The three-time ATP champion didn't win a single match for the rest of the year, concluding his 2025 season on a seven-match losing streak.
Jarry announces his split with coach Fabregas
"After several years, a lot of work, and shared time, a chapter closes today. Thank you Csar for all these years we worked together, all the progress we made, and for always being so good to my whole family. You were and will be very important in my professional career and as a human being. All my best wishes to you in your new projects!" the former world No. 16 wrote on Instagram.
Jarry became an ATP champion in Bastad in 2019, before winning Santiago and Geneva in 2023. The Chilean has twice reached the second week of a Grand Slam during his career.
It remains to be seen who Jarry will bring in to replace Fabregas, and if the 30-year-old will manage to rediscover his best tennis in 2026.
