Wrestling fans hoping to see Penta back in action at AAAs Guerra de Titanes on December 20 just got hit with a harsh dose of reality. Despite earlier reports suggesting the masked superstar had been cleared for an in-ring return, it turns out those claims were based on a mistranslation of his doctors original statement.
Ringside News previously reported that Penta had been cleared following his injury during a match against Solo Sikoa on WWE Raw. That match ended abruptly, with Penta being rushed to the back after what appeared to be a serious shoulder injury. But now, its clear the recovery isnt quite completeand the confusion all comes down to a translation error.
According to Dr. Odiseo, who has been treating Penta, he was misquoted. The original Spanish statement was run through faulty translation software, and what came out wasnt accurate. The doctor clarified things in a direct message:
But just because Pentas doing better doesnt mean hes ready to lace up his boots. Dr. Odiseo made it clear that its not even his decisionor Pentas for that matter:
As for where the confusion came from, it seems someone online jumped the gun using automated translation tools. The result was a report that inaccurately claimed Penta had been medically cleared when, in fact, hes still very much in the middle of recovery.
Dr. Odiseo closed his statement with a personal thank you to Penta for trusting him with his care:
Ringside News deeply apologizes for the confusion and sincerely regrets the error.
Wrestling fans are known for their passion, and this kind of mix-up can lead to disappointment. But its clear Penta is working hard to come backand when he does, he wont be holding anything back.
Do you think WWE will let Penta return to AAA for Guerra de Titanes? Or should he stay focused on his recovery and WWE future? Drop your thoughts in the comments belowwe want to hear from you.
