Following the release of the first still image of Lynch in full Starfleet attire, Paramount rolled out a clip featuring the USS Athena under attack. At the 2:20 mark, Lynch appears alongside the main crew, noticeably taking charge as alarms blare and systems fail around her. The clip offers the clearest look yet at Lynchs character and confirms she will be an active part of the narrativenot just a background presence.
Earlier today, Lynch teased trailers and behindthescenes details, claiming she performed her own physical work in the role. That appears believable after seeing her handling highstakes command scenarios aboard the Athena.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premieres January 15, 2026 on Paramount+, with weekly episodes through March 12.
