John Cena has finally broken his silence after his father, John Cena Sr., publicly criticized WWEs choice for who should retire his son at Saturday Nights Main Event on December 13.
Cena Sr. didnt hold back in a recent interview, where he voiced his disapproval of GUNTHER being considered for Cenas final opponent. Instead, he pushed for names like Edge, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, and JBL to be in that rolelegends he felt would be more fitting for the end of Cenas career.
Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience, John Cena addressed his dads commentswithout naming GUNTHER directlybut clearly referencing the recent chatter. He joked about his fathers unique presence in wrestling and how hes learned to accept his public commentary, even when it crosses the line.
Cena went on to admit that while his fathers words can frustrate him, hes grown to embrace that part of their relationship.
As Cena prepares for the final match of his career, the WWE Universe will find out tonight who will get the honor of facing himeither LA Knight or GUNTHERwhen the finals of the Last Time is Now tournament go down on SmackDown.
Fans have their opinions, but so does Cenas dadand clearly, so does Cena himself.
