The viral moment involving Paul Heyman and a young fan after WWE Survivor Series: WarGames just got a major update and it looks like WWE isnt pointing fingers at the Wise Man.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE sources confirmed that there is no real heat on Paul Heyman following the incident, where he pushed a child out of his path after the show went off the air at Petco Park. Instead, the blame is falling on someone else entirely.
The viral clip showed Heyman walking with Logan Paul and several members of security when a young fan broke past the guards and physically touched Heyman. Clearly caught off guard, Heyman pushed the fan away and kept walking. Reactions online were immediate and mixed some fans called it an overreaction, while others defended Heymans right to protect his space.
Still, backstage, it appears the focus isnt on Heymans reactionits on why security failed to keep anyone from reaching him in the first place.
The incident came right after a major win for Team Heyman in the Mens WarGames match, where CM Punk was ambushed by a masked man, and Bron Breakker sealed the victory with a crushing spear and pin on the World Heavyweight Champion. But the celebration quickly shifted to debate as footage of the post-show shove made its rounds.
Now, with WWE making it clear Heyman wont be punished internally, attention may shift to tightening up security at future live events.
