Andy Murray, a famous tennis player, retired from the sport a few years ago, but is still active in the world of tennis in other ways. At the beginning of this year, he collaborated with Novak Djokovic, but he continues to attract attention after they parted ways.
In a guest appearance on The Tennis Podcast, he talked about the main topic these days; tennis calendar. The British tennis player is not satisfied with the schedule, considering that most strictly follow the calendar, although they have the possibility of adjustment. Murray gave Novak as an example, saying that the Serbian tennis player doesn't always follow that rule, just like Federer did a few years ago.
Masters tournaments
Masters tournaments that have been extended for two weeks cause special frustrations among tennis players, especially among experienced and older ones who are not used to such a regime.
Andy Murray points out that he was on the ATP Player Council when the vote was taken to extend the Masters tournaments, and even though he was against it, the decision was definitely made. The British tennis player does not agree that the players will have more time to recover between matches given the long period of two weeks.

Be that as it may, tennis fans and players must accept this outcome, believing that it is necessary to resort to changes that will take this sport in the right direction. Whether these changes will occur in the near future or not remains to be seen.
