Coco Gauff's vacation is over as the two-time Grand Slam champion took to Instagram to share that she has officially launched her preseason.

On November 6th, Gauff was beaten by Aryna Sabalenka in her group-stage finale in Riyadh and exited the WTA Finals after posting a 1-2 record in the Round Robin. After an early Riyadh exit and taking part in a total of 64 matches in 2025, the top-ranked American female tennis player returned home and took some time to rest.

Now, just over a month before the official start of the new season, Gauff is back on the practice court.

"We back. Gotta work off those Thanksgiving calories," the world No. 3 captioned her Instagram Story.

Gauff's major emphasis is on improving her serve

The week before the US Open, Gauff replaced coach Matt Daly with biomechanics expert Gavin Macmillan. After the American showed some signs of improvement on her serve already at the US Open, she noted that the offseason would be the time when she would try to get the most job done and fix her serve.

There are other parts of my game that I want to work on, too, but the focus right now is the serve. When I serve well, I play pretty well. For me, thats the basis for my game. Already, the little bit weve done has made a drastic improvement to where I was three weeks ago. At this point, theres not a crazy amount, like going through a whole technique change or resetting everything. Its just subtle things that, doing it for a week now, will help me," the 21-year-old explained after the US Open.

Gauff and MacMillan have a full month to work on the reigning French Open champion's serve, and it will be interesting to see how it will all look when the new season starts.
