Min Woo Lee experienced a period of crisis after a great performance at the Houston Open. In an interview with the media, he explains what led to that crisis, believing that he had to change his mindset and look at things differently.
After the Houston Open, the Australian golfer reveals that he focused too much on the result first, instead of letting things take their course and focusing on the process.
Lee noted that after the Houston Open he was extremely confident, feeling that he was at the top. However, golf is a sport where many things change week after week, and Lee was not prepared for such a rhythm.
"I just didn't reset, didn't write my goals," Lee said, as quoted by Golf Australia.

"I felt like I was on a high but golf is so quick. You win, take a week off and The Masters is right there and then you want to win that tournament and the next one.
I think I was a little result orientated and not process driven so that's one thing I learned this year."
Season 2025
Looking at his performances this season, Lee has had a lot of solid performances, but at times it looked like he could have done a lot more. He has worked a lot with his coach, with a main emphasis on swing, and it seems that he has improved on that aspect.
"I played very average in the signature events this year and my coach and I had to do something with my swing so it was a rebuilding phase just beforehand," he said.

"It was a little bit of a trial run to see how I handle myself under a little bit of pressure."
Ranking
Min Woo Lee does not want to put too much focus on the ranking. He is aware that such an approach could further spoil the plans.
The Australian PGA Championship will be a chance for him to prove himself on the big stage and show his true version in front of the home crowd.
Playing on home soil is always a serious motive for every golfer.
