Lacey Lane is officially All Elite.
Fightful Select reports that Lane has signed a deal with AEW after impressing company officials during her recent match against Mercedes Mon for the TBS Championship. While the bout didnt end in victory, it apparently sealed the deal behind the scenes. Sources confirmed Lane is now part of AEWs growing womens division.
The former WWE star known as Kayden Carter during her time there didnt stop at just one AEW appearance. Shes already worked Ring of Honor tapings, including a match for the Interim ROH Womens TV Title against Mina Shirakawa, and continues to build her name on the independent scene.
Lanes arrival in AEW comes after a rocky WWE run that ended with frustration and tears. In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, she described how difficult it was to break through despite holding the Womens Tag Team Titles with Katana Chance.
Even with strong backstage support, Lane said they never felt like the chosen ones.
Now, Lane is determined to flip the script. Shes no longer fighting for approval shes fighting to build something new in AEW. And judging by how quickly shes getting in the mix with top names, shes already off to a strong start.
