Anthony Kim is always an interesting figure in the golf scene. Competing at the Saudi International, the experienced golfer excelled, finishing T5 in this tournament. As a golfer we know well and someone who promised to have a great career, Kim showed at least a fraction of what was expected of him.
After a long break, the American golfer returned to the golf scene two years ago and surprisingly joined LIV Golf. His return alone was a huge success and few expected Kim to be the dominant figure on the Saudi backed tour. In the end, he was really far from the right form, and this year he was relegated from LIV Golf.
The Saudi International was an important tournament for him, as a win would have made his return to LIV Golf easier.

However, even though he finished 42nd in the standings, that didn't sway Anthony Kim, who will have a chance to compete at LIV Golf Promotions in two months. Whether he will secure a place through LIV Golf Promotions remains to be seen.
Kim talks about his goals
The seasoned golfer doesn't seem to be too focused on the next challenges, but he's aware that he's already made a big deal by returning to the golf scene.
"You know, not that this is a big deal, but I found faith in God and unfortunately, I didn't get it done today," he said. "But, I feel like God has a bigger plan for me, not just in the golf, but to help other people."
He added: "Yeah, I mean, obviously I've dealt with my fair share of mental illness and addiction and, you know, I'm working for my family, I'm working for myself. But I'm also working for the people that are struggling."

His battle with addiction has taken its toll on him. Ultimately, Kim showed courage and desire by returning two years ago.
