Dustin Johnson is a well-known face on the golf scene and a golfer who has truly accomplished incredible things over the past 12 years. The American golfer achieved a large number of victories on the PGA Tour, being equally dominant at the Majors and at times at LIV Golf.
Playing at the Saudi International, Dustin Johnson missed the cut, and his season wasn't quite as impressive as we expected.
The experienced golfer spoke about it in a media interview, putting an accent on the driver that created massive problems for him, considering that he terminated the contract with TaylorMade after many years of cooperation.
Johnson points out that when he drives a driver well, he generally has a good chance of winning, but driver problems ultimately affected his results from tournament to tournament.

"I've really struggled with the driver which is generally the best part of my game," Johnson said. "So obviously that puts a lot of pressure on the other parts of your game.
The weeks I drive it well, I play well [and] I have a chance to win. But, as a whole, I've just struggled with the driver, and I'm just finding something that I get comfortable with.
I have days where I drive it really well, but Im having trouble finding a driver that matches up with the rest of the game, [so] I'm hitting irons really, really well and not driving it that great, or I'm hitting the driver good and I'm not hitting irons as good."

He had several notable results at LIV Golf this season, including a third place finish at LIV Golf in Indianapolis, a fifth place finish in Singapore and a fifth place finish at the Michigan Stroke Play. When it comes to major tournaments, Dustin Johnson did not particularly stand out, as he missed the cut at the Masters, PGA Championship and US Open, while he finished T23 at The Open.

What kind of future awaits this golfer is difficult to predict, but the extension of the contract with LIV Golf speaks volumes about his ambitions and desires.
Dustin Johnson had hoped he could be part of the US Ryder Cup team this year, but after disappointing results it was hard to expect him to get a call-up from captain Keegan Bradley. However, he still believes in his chances, with the hope that in two years he will defend the colors of the American team.
