AEWs Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view went down at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The tag team division received a great spotlight, and a match full of near fall was featured on the pay-per-view.
During Full Gear, FTR took on Brodido with the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the line. FTR have been in rare form in recent memory, and they want to prove that they are still top guys in the pro wrestling world.
Brodido has been on a roll since winning the AEW World Tag Team Titles at Forbidden Door 2025. Their road took them to Full Gear, where Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler wanted to take that gold.
FTR had the size disadvantage to King, and that showed. The big man also used that to slam FTR. Then Bandido went for a dive, but FTR caught him and sent him into the announce table. The match kept going after that, with one big spot after another.
At one point, FTR finally nailed the Shatter Machine after teasing it. However, Bandido was able to get his shoulder up at the count of two. This got the fans to a fever pitch as they chanted fight forever. Badido also kicked out after taking a shot to the head from a title belt.
Dax Harwood was able to kick out after eating a Shatter Machine from Brodido. This match kept going with a couple big spots and near falls. In the end, Brodido ate a Shatter Machine and lost the match as FTR regained the AEW World Tag Team Titles for a third time.
