The golf world is divided on who is the greatest of all time, but most seem to put Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, golfers who have won a combined 33 majors, in the story. Jack Nicklaus is more successful when it comes to winning majors, having won 18, while Tiger Woods has won 15. Although Tiger was expected to break this record, his injuries got in the way of his success and at this point it is really difficult for Woods to break Nicklaus' record.
PGA Tour caddy Henley looked back on Woods' 2000 season, saying no one in the history of golf could match his performance during that season. He pointed out that Jack Nicklaus was nowhere near the kind of game that Tiger had in 2000.

No player in the history of the game was a better wedge and driver of the ball. Nicklaus wasnt even close. They are two separate swings and Tiger figured out how to do both.- he said.

Old golf fans will likely disagree with Henley, while the younger generation believes that Woods is the superior golfer and that he played in an era that required much more effort and training. Either way, each of them left a deep mark and were dominant in their era. Of course, golf will evolve and change over the years, but the mark left by Tiger and Jack will never be erased.
What is most important for most fans is that Woods returns to the golf course as soon as possible and makes the game more interesting. Although it is clear that he will not be in the form he once had, his presence alone is enough reason for most to turn on the TV screens and follow golf tournaments.Predictions are that the 49-year-old could return sometime in the middle of next year, but that is too much to say with certainty.
