Carlos Alcaraz had to end his 2025 season without being able to play the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna due to a hamstring injury, which had already affected him during the final of the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin against Jannik Sinner last Sunday.
However, the world number 1 had an extraordinary year from all points of view, reacting like a true champion after having had more difficulties than expected in the first months of 2025 also due to a small mental crisis. He could no longer find the right motivation when he was on the court and his results were not as brilliant as expected, but the situation has radically changed from the spring onwards and 2025 has become the best year of Carlitos' young career.
The 22-year-old from Murcia lifted eight trophies and ended the year at the top of the ATP rankings for the second time in his career, as well as having finally found the continuity that had been his main weakness in previous seasons.
