Before WWE RAW lit up Madison Square Garden, fans in attendance were treated to something exclusive that never made it to live TV.
WWE kicked things off in New York with a special match taped for this weeks episode of WWE Main Event. And it wasnt just any matchit featured the surprise return of Rusev, who stepped back into a WWE ring to face Otis in a hard-hitting clash.
In front of a roaring MSG crowd, Rusev made quick work of Otis in what could only be described as a showcase of brute power. The former United States Champion wasted no time, leveling Otis with a devastating Machka Kick for the pin.
This surprise match was taped ahead of RAWs live Netflix broadcast, which also featured John Cenas final RAW appearance. But fans who showed up early definitely got an MSG-exclusive moment to remember.
Adding to the pre-show spectacle, country star Ashley Cooke delivered a stirring performance of God Bless America before the live broadcast began. Dressed in a John Cena-themed outfit, the moment gave off serious big show vibes as the arena rose to their feet.
