Stevie Richards had no problem declaring Logan Paul as the best in the game todayacross both AEW and WWE. But AEW star Kyle Fletcher isnt letting that take slide without a fight.
Richards recently stirred things up when he said Logan Paul is better than everybody in AEW and even claimed the YouTuber-turned-wrestler is better than 98 percent of the WWE roster as well. That set off a wave of discussion, and now Fletcher is stepping in with some strong words of his own.
Fletcher told TMZs Inside the Ring he doesnt think the opinion holds much weighteven if Richards truly believes it.
The AEW TNT Champion made it clear that the talent in his locker room speaks for itself, with performances that raise the bar week after week.
Despite his disagreement, Fletcher wasnt dismissive of Logan Pauls growth. He gave him credit for what hes done in a short time.
He also touched on how some veterans in the business struggle to evolve with the times, and how that shapes their perspective.
Fletcher even dropped a quick thought experiment: imagining his matches with Will Ospreay being shown to audiences from before 2000.
As for his own journey, Fletcher said the pressure of being TNT Champion is real, but he credits Don Callis for helping him rise to the occasion. He also hinted that Mark Briscoe may soon have a role to play in the Don Callis Family.
Kyle Fletchers response throws cold water on the idea that Logan Paul has already surpassed AEWs best. While Richards sees a future star whos already reached the top, Fletcher sees an outsider being overhyped too fast.
