Laynie Luck made her presence known in a big way by capturing the vacant WWE ID Womens Championship at Wrestling Open RI on November 17.

Luck wasnt even originally scheduled for the six-way elimination match that crowned a new champion. She had to fight her way in earlier in the night by winning a six-woman qualifier against Angelica Risk, Jordan Blade, Kaitlyn Marie, Nixi XS, and Lili Ruiz. That earned her a last-minute entry into the main event, where she outlasted Brittnie Brooks, Notorious Mimi, Shannon Levangie, Tiara James, and Airica Demia to walk away with the gold.

Her path to the title was anything but easy, but Luck pulled it off in front of an energetic crowdand with that performance, she solidified her spot as the newest WWE ID signee.

The ID Womens Title was vacated after former champion Kylie Rae announced her pregnancy. Rae, who had been the face of the division since its inception, saw her WWE ID deal expire in October and was not renewed.
