Jack Draper reveals his aim is to "fire and compete" in 2026, and while he has nothing but major respect for what Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are doing, the world No. 10 highlights he is keen to challenge the two top-ranked players in the game and try to "end their dominance."
If you can recall, Draper started this year with a bang after becoming a Masters champion in Miami and achieving a career-high ranking of No. 4 in the world. In the first part of 2025, the British tennis star also finished as runner-up in Doha and the Madrid Masters.
But after a strong year to the year that put him in Wimbledon title contention, it all went downhill for Draper after he sustained a left arm injury at the start of the grass season. The 23-year-old then Wimbledon in the second round before appearing in just one more tournament before calling it a season.

"To get back on court firing and competing. I want to be among the best and keep improving. With hard work, my team, and staying injury-free, I believe I can reach the top," the world No. 10 told Tennis Majors.
Draper aims a Grand Slam final and to challenge Alcaraz & Sinner
Draper made his first Grand Slam semifinal at the 2024 US Open before losing to Sinner. If not for an unfortunate injury, the Briton could have surely made at least another deep Slam run in 2025.
"Id like to go beyond semifinals, be top four in Grand Slams, break into the top ten, and win more 250 and 500 tournaments. I want more consistency in big events and deeper runs," the 23-year-old underlined.
Alcaraz and Sinner are dominantly holding the two top positions in men's tennis. The stat that tells you all about their dominance is the fact that they split the last eight Grand Slams between them.

"Yes, theyre way ahead. Ive set a bar for now but its up to the newer players to challenge and end their dominance," Draper said when asked if Alcaraz and Sinner set the bar high for the rest of the competition.
It remains to be seen if Draper can stay healthy next year and contend for the biggest titles.
