
World no. 1 Carlos Alcaraz will compete in the ATP Finals semi-final for the second time. The Spaniard passed the round-robin stage with a perfect 3-0 score after a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Lorenzo Musetti.
With these points, Carlos has kept Jannik Sinner behind and secured the year-end no. 1 honor, the second of his young career. The Spaniard's first serve made the difference against the Italian.
Alcaraz saved both break points and turned 45% of the return points into three breaks from five chances, enought to sail over the top in an hour and 23 minutes.
World no. 1 attacked and kept the points on his racket. He reduced his rival to underten winners and forged a massive advantage in the shortest and mid-range exchanges.

The favorite served well in the opening set. He stepped in on the return at 5-4 and defended Lorenzo's four game points. Carlos seized the second set point to wrap up the set 6-4 and gain a boost.
Musetti denied a break point in the second game of the second set before suffering a break at love two games later to find himself 3-1 behind. Alcaraz saved two break points in the next one in his only challenging service game and extended the gap.
He broke again in the sixth game for 5-1 and seized the third match point on serve in game seven to emerge at the top and secure the year-end no. 1 honor.
