Regardless of what the ending of this edition of the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin will be, it is legitimate to consider Jannik Sinner's season as amazingdespite the three months that were inflicted on him by WADA between February and May. The current world No.2 has faced a tough test mentally and has shown that he has incredible mental strength once again, staying in the running to end the year at the top of the ATP rankings despite missing four Masters 1000 in that time.
The 24-year-old from Sesto Pusteria who has always continued to profess his innocence and has never responded to provocations has lifted five trophies this season, as well as becoming the first Italian player ever to win the Wimbledon Championships. He is also showing all his strength on the indoor hard courts in the latter part of 2025, considering that he prevailed in both Vienna and Paris and has the goal of triumphing in Turin for the second year in a row.

Sinner continues his run
The four-time Grand Slam champion beat Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Zverev in his first two clashes at the Inalpi Arena and is already certain of both qualifying for the semifinals and first place in his group. Meanwhile, Jannik has updated a sensational stat by being undefeated on indoor courts for 28 matches in a row.
Speaking to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', former ATP ace and current analyst Paolo Bertolucci commented on Sinner's latest win: "He has a skill that makes him different from all the other players: I'm referring to his ability to understand the moments of the match. He knows perfectly when he has to push to the maximum and when he can play more calmly, showing an intelligence and maturity that only champions have."
Bertolucci also added: "Zverev put in a good performance yesterday, but there's nothing he can do against this version of the Italian champion, especially on this surface. He is unbeaten in 28 fights in a row on these courts.
