After quietly making his in-ring debut earlier this year at an art show, Steve Bordenyes, the son of wrestling icon Stingis stepping into the independent scene in a much bigger way. His next match is now confirmed, and this time, its under the spotlight of a real promotion.

According to Fightful Select, Borden is set to compete at DEFY AEON on Friday, November 21, at Washington Hall in Seattle, Washington. This will mark his first official match for an independent wrestling company, and hell be facing off against Kiran Grey, a fellow trainee of Darby Allin.

The connection to Darby runs deep. Borden had been training under Allin while the AEW star was climbing Mount Everest last year. While Darby conquered summits, Borden kept grinding in the gym and eventually made his debut. That debut mightve flown under the radar, but DEFY marks his arrival on the indie circuit in a big way.

Borden isnt new to the spotlight. The former University of Kentucky tight end appeared as Wolfpack Sting in his fathers farewell match at AEW Revolution 2024, giving fans a glimpse of what was to come.
