Since losing the 2023 Wimbledon final and for the third time falling one win away from becoming a Grand Slam champion, Jabeur struggled with her form but also injuries. This year was especially rough for the former world No. 2, who went just 15-15 in 30 matches played before concluding her 2025 season following a Wimbledon first-round exit.
"Ive been pushing myself so hard, fighting through injuries and facing many other challenges. But deep down, I havent truly felt happy on the court for some time now," she said when putting a curtain on her 2025 season.
Over the last couple of years, several players made successful post-pregnancy comebacks, most notably Elina Svitolina, Belinda Bencic, Caroline Wozniacki and Tatjana Maria.
