Former WWE star Priscilla Kelly is opening up about the darkest period of her life, revealing that bullying and pressure inside WWE pushed her to a breaking point.
In a new interview with Denise Salcedo, Kelly described feeling trapped, depressed, and disconnected from herself during her time with the companyuntil she finally found her way back. Kelly explained that she went through a severe period of unhappiness where wrestling no longer felt fulfilling. Despite collecting a steady paycheck, she admitted she was miserable and just going through the motions.
Her mental health struggles werent just from wrestling. Kelly shared that her personal life was also in chaos, dealing with family problems that only added to her stress and sense of isolation.
At the same time, Kelly said the pressure in WWE was suffocating, especially during her early years. Coming from the independent wrestling scene, she said the company tried to change who she was and strip away her individuality.
The emotional toll became too much. Kelly revealed that bullying from certain people in WWE left her suicidal for a period of time, though she chose not to name names.
After hitting rock bottom, Kelly said things started to turn around in early 2023, when she began main-eventing on the main roster. For the first time in years, she felt like herself again and rediscovered her passion for performing.
Kellys story is a raw reminder of how mentally exhausting the wrestling world can be behind the glamour of the spotlight. Despite the pain and toxicity she endured, she managed to survive, rebuild, and reclaim her identity.
