
Eddie Guerrero is getting the hometown love he deservesEl Paso, Texas is officially declaring Tuesday, November 18, 2025, as Eddie Guerrero Day, and the celebration is going down in style.
The tribute kicks off at 9 AM at City Hall (300 N. Campbell St.), and fans are invited to wear lucha masks or show up as their favorite wrestling personas. The family-friendly event will feature an official city proclamation honoring Guerreros life, legacy, and lasting impactand the whole thing will be streamed live on the citys official YouTube channel.
El Paso community member Chris Rojas has been leading the charge on the celebration and future projects to honor the late WWE Hall of Famer. On October 1, Rojas announced the proclamation and revealed long-term goals to keep Guerreros legacy alive in a major way.
The mural Rojas referenced was originally painted by artist Eric Dubitsky back in 2007 and remains a local landmark in Lincoln Park. Rojas also thanked Guerreros daughter Sherilyn for her support in helping make the project happen.
El Paso City Council Member Deanna M. Rocha hyped up the event on Instagram as well, encouraging fans to show up and show love for one of the citys most iconic sons.
From the ring to the streets of El Paso, Eddie Guerreros spirit is still making noiseand now, his hometown is making it official. Between the proclamation, the push to restore his mural, rename a park, and eventually build a statue, the love for Latino Heat is louder than ever.
