
Sonya Deville isnt holding back anymoreand shes calling out WWE for leaving her in the dark during what she believed was the most pivotal run of her career.
On the Identity Crisis podcast with CJ Perry, Deville revealed that she was supposed to win her match at SummerSlam, but instead pitched the idea to lose and launch a dramatic new character. WWE went along with it then completely disappeared on her.
The match had a loser leaves WWE stipulation, but Deville expected to be brought back almost immediately under her new character. Instead, she says WWE ghosted her for months.
She tried reaching outbut got nothing until Bruce Prichard finally responded with a short message that crushed her expectations.
For Deville, the timing couldnt have been worse. She felt confident, connected with fans, and in her creative prime.
Her momentum vanished. She was sidelined. And eventually, WWE let her go without renewing her contract. But instead of falling apart, Sonya chose to flip the situation into fuel.
She now views the silence and release as a blessing in disguise.
Sonya Deville went from cutting the best promos of her career to being completely ghosted by the company she helped buildand shes not sugarcoating it. WWE left her in limbo after she chose to lose at SummerSlam, only to vanish when it was time to follow through on the next chapter. Now out of the system and speaking freely, Sonyas not playing the victimshes owning her story, regrets and all, and using it as fuel for whatever comes next. WWE mightve closed the door, but Sonyas already walking through the next one.
