Aryna Sabalenka declared her 2025 season "pretty good" but also acknowledged that she wasn't the happiest about some of the losses suffered in the biggest matches.

This year, Sabalenka made three Grand Slam finals - finished as runner-up at the Australian Open (d. by Madison Keys) and the French Open (d. by Coco Gauff) before claiming the US Open title. Also, the Belarusian made her second WTA Finals final, but remains without a title after picking up a 3-6 6-7 (0) loss to Elena Rybakina on Saturday.

Overall, Sabalenka won four titles this year (Brisbane, Miami, Madrid and the US Open) and posted a 63-12 record - which makes her the player with the most wins collected on the WTA Tour this year. She sealed the Year-End No. 1 ranking and will enter the 2026 season with four Grand Slams in her collection.

Its been pretty good so far. I just need to get a little bit better with myself, a little bit more, and hopefully next season Ill improve," the world No. 1 said.

Sabalenka to conduct an analysis with the help of tequila

As mentioned above, Sabalenka's 2025 season concluded in a heartbreaking way after she fell just short of becoming a WTA Finals winner. Now, the four-time Grand Slam champion plans to hit the Maldives - relax herself - but also try to understand why she failed to get the job done in certain matches this year.

Sometimes players are just better on the day than you. The good thing is that Im always there. The bad thing this season is that I lost most of the biggest finals I made. So I guess Ill just sit back in the Maldives having my probably tequila and think back and try to analyze my behavior, my emotions," the 27-year-old jokingly stated.
