According to Fightful Select, AEW sources are claiming that Bayne was visibly upset with Newell and Miranda Alize during their match on Collision. The tension wasnt just storylineit played out in real time because of a breakdown in communication mid-match.
AEW reportedly had internal concerns about how the match was structured, especially since Bayne is being positioned as a powerhouse. Some sources were puzzled by the decision to book her in a way that had her selling offense from unsigned talent like Newell and Alize.
The fallout from this backstage frustration appears to be linked to the now-infamous Collision walkout. Newell and Alize were scheduled to wrestle Tay Melo and Anna Jay but left the building after learning they were only getting three minutes.
