Jessica Pegula noticed former American tennis players guessing about what type of car she was the likeliest to drive and funnily revealed that Steve Johnson made the right pick, while John Isner's take was wrong.

As you probably know, Johnson, Isner, Jack Sock and Sam Querrey have been posting a tennis podcast for quite some time now. They often love to throw out a topic not really related to tennis, and that was the case during the latest episode when they started naming car models that certain WTA players were the likeliest to drive.

Isner said that Pegula probably owned a Jeep Cherokee, while Johnson guessed that the WTA world No. 5 bought a car that was suitable to drive her dogs.

"Jesse seems just like a point A to point B girl. I think she just has like a Jeep Cherokee," Isner said.

Johnson added: "I would have gone more like the sprinter so she could put all the dogs in there."

Pegula responds: I have a defender...

In the comment section of the podcast's Instagram post, Pegula funnily wrote: "I have a defender but seriously have thought about the sprinter for the dogs."

A defender is a type of SUV and definitely suitable for driving dogs.

Johnson responded: "Yes! Thank you Jess! These guys thought I was insane."

Meanwhile, Isner admitted he was wrong, writing: Ok. I was dead wrong."

On the Tour, Pegula is often described by her colleagues as a very chill person. With that being said, it is not surprising that Isner and Johnson thought that the 2024 US Open runner-up preferred to drive something that would suit her needs rather than something flashy.
