Novak Djokovic is ready to return to action in what could be the last tournament of his season. The Serbian legend who has had a decent season considering that he won a title (in Geneva) and reached the semifinals in all Grand Slam tournaments had long confirmed his presence at the Athens ATP 250, after his family moved this event from Belgrade to the Greek capital due to disagreements with the Serbian government.
Everyone is waiting to know whether or not the former world number 1 will participate in the Nitto ATP Finals, scheduled in Turin from 9 to 16 November. The 38-year-old from Belgrade who was absent from the Masters last year never gave a definite answer when asked about his participation there this year and the opinions of insiders are conflicting about it.

Nole triumphed at the Finals in both 2022 and 2023 and the particularly fast conditions in Turin could help him, considering that his body no longer offers him the same guarantees as a few years ago and several injuries have affected him lately.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion had a huge chance at the Shanghai Rolex Masters, where he could take advantage of the absence of Carlos Alcaraz and the premature elimination of Jannik Sinner due to cramps, but his run in China ended against Valentin Vacherot in the semifinals also due to his precarious physical shape. Subsequently, Novak was defeated by Sinner in the semifinal of the 'Six Kings Slam' in Saudi Arabia and retired during his match against Taylor Fritz in the final for 3rd/4th place.
He will make his debut in Athens against the winner of the match between Adam Walton and Alejandro Tabilo. The former world number 1 could make his debut in Turin on Monday 10 November at the latest.
