Private Party hasnt appeared on AEW television since losing the AEW Tag Team Titles back in January 2025, and fans have been wondering if the teams time with the company is coming to an end.
According to Fightful Select, both Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy are still under AEW contract but theyve been completely inactive, with no creative plans in motion.
Neither man has wrestled for AEW since their title loss, and their only in-ring appearance this year came in House of Glory. Earlier this year, rumors circulated about their contracts expiring, and WWE was reportedly keeping tabs on the duo. Additionally, their dramatic physical transformation caught the attention of many backstage.
Their transformation reportedly came with some guidance from The Hurt Syndicate. MVP and his group are said to have taken a liking to Private Party, advising them to spend more time building their physiques and refining their presentation. Those familiar with the situation mentioned that Hurt Syndicate has been very helpful to the duo and may have influenced their off-screen progress.
Contractually, things appear a bit unclear. It was also added that while both wrestlers remain signed, their deals might not expire at the same time possibly due to injury time or differing contract structures. That means their future with AEW is murky, and theres no clear sign of whether the company plans to bring them back to television.
Private Partys fall from AEW Tag Team Champions to complete inactivity is one of the more puzzling stories of the year. Theyve proven themselves before, yet for now, theyre simply sitting on the sidelines, waiting for an opportunity that may or may not come.
