NXT is a cutthroat brand, and you never know what will happen in the top of the card. That was very true this week as the show collapsed at the end of the broadcast.
The October 28 episode of NXT brought a ton of fallout after Halloween Havoc. That included a TNA Knockouts Title match.
During this weeks episode of NXT, the TNA Knockouts World Championship was on the line as Kelani Jordan defended the title against Jordynne Grace. This was a very interesting match to keep your eye on.
Jordynne Grace has a long history with the championship and is a well-established name in TNA. Grace rose to prominence during her time in TNA Wrestling, where she became a three-time Knockouts World Champion. She also made history as the first woman to win the TNA Digital Media Championship and held the Knockouts Tag Team Championship as well.
This match went down as the main event match of the night. They also received a big fight feel, thanks to Mike Romes ring introductions.
This match included a few close moments as both competitors tried hard to put the other away. Fans were chanting this is awesome after Kelani Jordan kicked out of a jackknife powerbomb. Then Jordan returned fire, but Grace was right on her heels with a counter for every counter.
Eventually, Trick Williams and Ricky Saints brawl continued on and spilled to the ringside area. Kelani Jordan used this distraction to bring her title into the ring, and then she kicked out of a near fall from Grace. Trick and Ricky brawled through the ring, but the match continued. Then Jordan grabbed her title and smacked Grace to get the pin and retain the Knockouts Title.
We will have to see what happens next, but Kelani Jordan is still the TNA Knockouts Title, which robbed Jordynne Grace of her fourth run with the belt, which would have made her the seventh woman in history to do so.
