After a blistering hot start for the the Lakers, NBA fans we upset to learn that Luka Doncic is now out with injury, so when can we expect him back?
Doncic is set to miss at least the next week with a left finger sprain and lower left leg contusion.
ESPNs Dave McMenamin said that, In the Minnesota game on Friday he banged his finger on his non-shooting hand, and then later got hit in the leg to suffer that leg contusion.
He later added, stressing the non-seriousness of the injury The Lakers believe that giving him some time right now should be enough to address it, and were talking about Luka back in the lineup next week.
Lakers insider Jovan Buha broke down the technicalities of Doncic being out for a week, and when he might actually make his return.
Now, the question is gonna be, technically one week from today, that covers four games, and then they play Miami on that fifth game next Sunday, and then they have a back-to-back against Portland again, going to Portland on Monday, Buha explained on his YT. So, I dont yet have clarity as to is it going to be four games, five games, six games.
I have a tough time seeing him miss a week and then immediately going into a back-to-back, he continued. Maybe that happens, but everything weve seen from the Lakers has been cautious to the point of overcautious or overcaution up to this point with all of their players and injuries, so I have a hard time just seeing them being like, Oh, well Luka missed the week. Lets just throw him into a back-to-back.
So, my assumption as of right now is hes gonna miss at least five of the next six, potentially all six, and then maybe come back that middle of the following week, but depends on how he fares over the next few days, obviously.
